The fieldfares and redwings have migrated in from Northern climes and are now feasting on wild berries and orchard windfalls. A true sign that Yule celebrations are nearly here and the wonderful news (for S.A.D. sufferers) that the Winter Solstice will soon see day light duration creeping up …… whatever the weather …. and Spring is on its way!
I am offering Xmas vouchers again this year and really hope that they can provide a unique present for somebody to look forward to.
I’m delighted to be extending the activities somewhat next year – along with the conventional natural history and wildlife themed walks, I’m keen to do some larger bushcraft stints and also to practice some deeper immersion into nature. The latter is proving very popular and is now being officially condoned by healthcare professionals: I attended a recent symposium at Surrey University entitled “The Natural Health Service”! As I SO frequently say – Science is, at last, catching up with the folk lore!!!
Many thanks for your support this year and I look forward to seeing you all in 2020,
Jonnie
