Dear Friends,
Our last foraging trip was a great success and really enjoyable experience – it was good to
note how many forageables are starting to ripen up for our preserves and pickles! Paulo will
again be joining me for our next Foraging Foray which will be on October 16th. For this we will
leave the Weald Clay and venture up to the drier Greensand of Blackdown where, hopefully,
we will manage to do some more Fungi identification! I really hope you can join us!
Times: Saturday 16th October. Meet at 10am and return around 2pm (although you can
obviously make your way back earlier if needed or, indeed, stay later!)
Location: The walk begins at the Blackdown Lower car park, nearest postcode GU27 3BJ,
grid ref SU 921 307. This car park usually has spaces whilst the other 2 get quite congested –
especially on a Saturday! But just get there and give me a ring if there’s a problem!
Dress Code/Kit: Warm clothing with a waterproof coat is advisable, as are a good pair of
walking shoes. Any guide books, apps etc which you use are fun to share and cameras
obviously great to record things to look up or remind you of lush foods to be foraged! Bring a
few poly bags for if you want to take some samples, and maybe a bite to eat and a drink to
keep you going!!
Payment: £20 pp
BOOKING: Please click here to email me with the number of tickets you wish to purchase and I will create a custom PayPal link for you to transfer the funds!
Please book your place on this walk with me beforehand, particularly because if the weather is
really bad I will postpone the walk and will need to let you know!!
